I.The World is Changing
The times have changed
Open up your eyes and see what we have done.
What we have done?
II. Mother Nature is crying
The Earth is weeping
Do you see the ugly things that we have done?
We destroyed our Land.
III. We have acid rains and floods
Eroding mountains, the trees were cut
The air is toxic, we are full of trash
And even the rivers are drying up
Let us tell the World
Let us educate and do the little things that matter.
We plant more trees
Clean our rivers
And protect our Mother Nature
It’s a call for you and me and for all humanity.
It doesn’t matter who you are
It doesn’t matter where you are
Let’s work together and make things right
Let’s build a better world its times to start.
IV. The earth is grieving
Our home is dying
Everything is fading fast
And will soon be gone will soon be gone
V. You call it progress,
Growth and improvements
But look around
How high is the price we have to pay for human greed
VI. We have climate change and wars
Extreme conditions, hot and cold
And unknown illnesses are coming out
Oh, what have we become?
Let’s make things right
Finale: The World is Changing 2X
Do You Know Why We Are Here?
Lyrics and Inspiration: Bensen Pola
Music and Lyrics Editor: Glen Emerich G. Kitong
Arranged by: Joy Domngo
Recorded at Sonata Ilocos
1st Vocals: Joy Domingo
2nd Vocals: Bensen Pola & Nicole Alessandra V. Pola
I.Do you know why we are here?
Do you know the reasons why?
And do you know the purpose?
Do you see the grand design?
II.Look inside and look around
Everywhere, there you will find
That you were not an accident
That there’s a source of everything
III.In the beginning
God created the heavens and earth
The earth was formless and void, covered with darkness
And the Spirit of God hovered over the waters and then.
He made the night and day, the sun, the moon and stars
Every seed, every plant, all the trees everywhere
Every bird in the sky
Every fish in the ocean
Every cattle that moves
Every creature that creeps
God created all these, then finally,
In His image and likeness, He created you and me
Refrain:
Do you know why we are here?
Do you know the reason why?
And, do you know the purpose?
Do you see the grand design?
Look inside and look around
Everywhere, there you will find that you were not an accident
There is a source of everything.
Finale: Do you know why we are here?
V We have forgotten the real meaning of living in life
For we were lost and confused with the ways of the World
It is time for a change
It is time to make sense
It is time to give back
Time for giving and sharing
Let us help change the World
Let us help build our home
God created all these for everyone.
Let’s be the channels of blessings and the guardians of creation.
Bridge: Yet here we are still wondering
We keep on moving in circles when everything was provided by Him
