Update: 55, 280 seedlings planted as of May 30, 2023
Year 2021-2022
Tree Planting Activities were conducted from September 27 to December 31, 2021, wherein the courses of BSME-1A, BSPT-2B, MMSU-GS, BSFT-3A, BSIT-3A, BS in Electronic Engineering-3A, BSME- 1A, BSECE-3A, BS in Sociology-2A, BS in Forestry-2A, BSIT-1B, and BSIT-4A including MAPA students, graduate school, took part in the activity. The activity was performed by students of MMSU with different degree courses as partial fulfillment of their requirements in their course subject, Philo 01 and PA 221. They were required to plant 5 seedlings per individual. Most of them planted fruit-bearing trees, such as guava, tamarind, lemon, mango, and many more. The tree-planting program has sustainable benefits such as more oxygen in the atmosphere, healthier soil, and natural humidity control. Trees also absorb and store carbon dioxide and rainwater, which aids in the reduction of runoff and sediment deposits following storms. Trees also aid in the recharge of groundwater supplies, prevention of chemical transport into streams, and prevent flooding. As David Orr attested, “When we heal the Earth, we heal ourselves. Remember to always be one with nature! Begin planting trees to be a part of the solution!”
October 4, 2021, Book Presentation and Distribution was conducted by Mr. Pola.
On October 26, 2021 was the interview of . Bensen Pola, MPh, MPA by Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office. The theme was on Global Environmental Changes. Info drive was done through book autograph and donation, Climate Change: Threat to God‘s good Creation.
"Nothing is more important than nature. It keeps us alive, but most times we don't return the favor. All things considered, trees don't need people to live. They can survive in the wild on their own pretty well. However, people need trees to breathe and eat. Hence, trees are infinitely more important than the money we get from cutting them."

On February 28, 2022, a Speaking Engagement was shared by Olivia Ledda and the post was dedicated to the call to change ways in treating nature. It was an advocate to plant more trees in the world. March 21, 2022, is the beginning of the creation of the Peers TY System Movement Website. This website is designed by the 2nd Year Students taking up BS in Ceramic Engineering in MMSU led by Marie Antoinette A. Abellon, Aileen Joy A. Gomez, and Hannah Faye C. Bugante with the guidance of their instructor, Bensen Pola, MPh, MPA. They used Wix as a platform in designing the website because it is a free domain website. The main purpose of this project is for further public information and awareness.
Last March 24, 2022, was the conduct of the Community Outreach Program wherein Peers TY System Movement (PTSM) shared and donated different kind of seedlings as well as food to communities. One recipient of mahogany seedlings was Usec Atty. Lourdines de la Cruz as a way to integrate care for Mother Nature in his advocacy and political platform.
