August 30, 2019, Mr. Pola spent time to plant grapes and jackfruit despite his hectic schedule. This is a showmanship of his ‘motherly’ care for nature and to humanity.

A Clean-Up Drive was conducted last January 30, 2020, at the Mariano Marcos State University with the theme: "It's not our garbage, but it's our planet."
The Environmental Science Society of Mariano Marcos State University proved their stewardship as they successfully conducted University Grounds Clean-Up Drive on January 30, 2020, following the National Zero Waste Month.  Devoted students worked hand-in-hand in picking up the litter around the University grounds and even initiated proper waste segregation, solid waste management, and disposal to give emphasis on intensifying environmental sanitation and healthful living.

The Environmental Science students believe that their action will benefit not only the cleanliness but also the safety of the faculty and learners in the university, especially nowadays that different diseases are becoming uncontrolled caused by viruses. Further, the students engaged themselves in the different activities of making the university community a favorable place to live in. To them, students are not only to learn academic subjects, but it is also vital to involve themselves in learning activities to make their community a safe and clean place conducive for learning.
